IT Support Engineer – Potters Bar

This role has become available due to our sustained growth in providing IT Managed Services. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast growing IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) with great prospects for promotion and career development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our existing SME business customers with IT services, VoIP, SIP and ethernet services.

 

The Role

  • 1st & 2nd line IT support including some travel to customer sites
  • Project infrastructure and implementation
  • Azure AD, exchange and server (hosted and On-Premises) – installation, upgrades, support and maintenance
  • Firewall configuration and support
  • Office 365 including SharePoint and OneDrive implementation and support
  • Network infrastructure implementation & support
  • Investigation of internet issues and failures and installation of equipment
  • 3rd party vendor management
  • Explain product use and operation to End Users
  • Creation and updating of site documentation and support requests
  • Specify, build and configure hardware and software as required

 

The Candidate

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience using ConnectWise Automate and Manage
  • Microsoft MCSA certification essential
  • CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certification desirable
  • Educated to degree level
  • Demonstrate past experience supporting business customers within an MSP environment
  • Substantial experience of MS Windows 7, 10 and Office, both previous and current versions
  • Detailed understanding of networking and firewall setup and operation

 

Benefits

Salary range: £25,000 to £30,000 (subject to experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:30
